Liz Burdick is an illustration graduate from Maine College of Art and Design in Portland, Maine. After graduating in the Spring of 2022, she has been applying her skills in the nature conservation  and children's book industries. Her work revolves around her love of dramatic lighting and the challenges of effective storytelling. She strives to push the boundaries of realism and to create captivating art using vivid colors and high contrast. Much of her work has been inspired by the vibrance of New York City, a place where she visited throughout her childhood. In contrast, she pulls lots of inspiration from the enchanting complexity of nature, specifically in flowers and botanicals. Liz was brought up in Ithaca NY, where she explored places such as the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and Mulholland Wildflower Preserve.
