AUGUST’S ADVENTURES

For my first illustrated children’s book, my father and I collaborated to create a story about my cousin’s dog, August.  In the tale, August is left behind when his owners, two married military officers, are deployed overseas.  In their absence, the restless dog sets out on crazy adventures around the world visiting both old friends and new exciting places.  After the deployment is extended, August finds a new home frolicking in the woods of the Catskill Mountains with his owners’ close friends. While he misses his owners, who are growing a family of their own, he is happy and content with the new life he leads.
